Can't Display Image Files in Google Slides?
Whether you need to create professional pitch decks, project presentations, or training modules, Google Slides makes it easy to make, edit, and share slides with others. You can even work on the same presentation at the same time with a team, and you can save your slides to view later on your computer or phone.
Preview is a built-in image and PDF viewer on Mac that's usually pretty solid, but it can have problems at times. One of those issues is when it can't display image files, which is a real pain since image viewing is one of Preview's primary functions.
If you're unable to preview an incompatible file type in Google Drive, try right-clicking on the file and selecting "Open with." This will create a copy of the document or slide presentation in a compatible native format that you can preview. Note that Google Drive has file size limits for documents and slide presentations, and it may not be possible to preview files that exceed those limits.
